Employees that are in J-1 or H-1B status: It is imperative that you acquaint yourself with guidelines associated with your status. Please review guidelines at our OIA website. Please feel free to contact Judy Garza if you have any questions. Please remember that H-1B’s are both institution and location specific. This means that you should not accept any compensation from any other institution and if you plan on visiting somewhere else for an extended period of time, an amendment to your H1 must be filed.
