Math 50900: Introduction to Algebra (Algebra I)

- Description: This course is the first in a sequence of three courses, Algebra I-II-III, that make up the content courses for teachers who are part of the Chicago Algebra Initiative. It covers many aspects of the fundamentals of high school algebra: polynomials (their equations, roots, graphs, and more), sequences (closed and recursive formulas, arithmetic and geometric sequences), and decimal expansions of real number, as well as multiple methods for teaching all of these topics to 8th grade students.
