The Fundamental Groups of Manifolds with Nonnegative Ricci Curvature
Abstract:
This seminar will focus on Milnor's 1968 conjecture regarding fundamental groups of complete manifolds with nonnegative Ricci curvature. We will outline 60 years of progress towards its resolution and present a recent counterexample discovered in collaboration with Aaron Naber and Daniele Semola.
