The Ramanujan Conecture
Abstract:
I will explain the statement of the Ramanujan conjecture for
modular forms, and something of its history, finishing with a gentle
overview of joint work in progress with George Boxer, Frank Calegari
and James Newton, in which we prove the Ramanujan conjecture for
Bianchi modular forms. No prior knowledge of these topics will be
assumed!
